Canvas Node Guide
Nodes hold the content and settings of a canvas workflow. Connections tell a generation node which upstream text and media it can use.
Create and connect nodes
Create nodes from the bottom toolbar or by double-clicking empty canvas space. Select a node to reveal its contextual toolbar and generation panel.
Each regular node has connection handles. Drag a handle onto another node to connect them. Releasing on empty canvas
space opens a menu for creating a new connected Text, Image, Video, Audio, or Generation configuration node. Select a
connection and press Delete or Backspace to remove it.
Text nodes
Text nodes hold prompts, notes, scripts, and generated text.
- Double-click the text, or use the explicit edit action, to change its content.
- Use the node toolbar to adjust text size.
- Open the generation panel to create or rewrite text with an available model.
- An empty Text node can receive its own generated result. Rewriting populated text creates a connected result node so the original remains available.
- Use
@in the prompt panel to include connected text, image, video, or audio references. - Use Generate image or Generate video to create a connected generation flow from the current text.
Image nodes
Image nodes hold uploaded or generated images and can serve as generation references.
- Upload into an empty node, drag an image onto the canvas, or generate an image from a prompt.
- Connect an Image node upstream of another node to make it available as a reference.
- Use the contextual toolbar to preview, download, save to Assets, replace, crop, mask, split, upscale, or create alternate angles when the action is available.
- Generated images keep the model settings and references required for retrying the same operation.
When a generation returns multiple images, they remain in one Image node. Double-click the image batch or use its explicit control to expand it. Only one image batch is expanded at a time. From the expanded view you can set the primary image, retry or delete a failed output, create a separate copy, and download an individual image.
Video and audio nodes
Video and Audio nodes hold uploaded or generated media.
- Upload or drag media files onto the canvas. Video nodes provide playback controls; Audio nodes provide an audio player.
- Connect media nodes to a generation flow when the selected model accepts them as references.
- Open an empty media node's generation panel to generate into that node, or generate from another node to create a connected result node.
- Generated media is stored with a durable URL, so reopening or exporting the project does not depend on a temporary browser file.
Generation configuration nodes
A Generation configuration node keeps reusable generation parameters separate from the result nodes.
- Connect upstream Text and media nodes.
- Choose Image, Video, Text, or Audio mode.
- Select an available model and adjust only the settings that model supports.
- Review or reorder connected inputs, and use
@to reference them in the prompt. - Choose the output count when available, then generate.
Each output is created as a connected result. Text configuration nodes can create several Text outputs; image batches keep independent output status so one failed image can be retried without discarding successful images.
Group and extension nodes
Group nodes organize related nodes. Create a Group, then drag nodes into its bounds. Moving the Group moves its contained nodes together.
Extension nodes appear in the toolbar only when a canvas plugin providing them is installed and enabled. Their controls depend on that plugin. Treat installed plugins as trusted code and install only modules you trust.
A practical workflow
- Add a Text node and write the idea or prompt.
- Add or upload reference Image, Video, or Audio nodes.
- Connect the references to a Generation configuration node.
- Choose the generation mode, model, and parameters.
- Generate and compare the connected result nodes.
- Keep the preferred result, refine the prompt or settings, and generate again.
